Description
Quinta do Regueiro lies in Melgaço, in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, and is made up of a number of small plots covering around 6 hectares. Replanting of the vineyards began in 1988, with a full commitment to Alvarinho, but Quinta do Regueiro only started selling its wines in 1999. Since then the estate has collected many awards, notably Best Alvarinho of the Iberian Peninsula for its 2005 Alvarinho and, more recently, Best Portuguese White Wine from Revista de Vinhos for the 2008 vintage at the Encontro de Vinhos e Sabores.
Fresh, balanced and fruity, but never overblown. Very well made, with a little more body and depth than the region's typical blend.
Fermented at controlled temperatures with advanced technology, while respecting traditional methods.
A remarkable balance between alcohol and acidity, with plenty going on in the glass.
