Description

Patina Chenin Blanc 2023 is a premium white made by the prestigious Boekenhoutskloof in Swartland, South Africa. It comes from vines on the Goldmine Farm, on schist and decomposed granite soils, giving the wine distinct minerality and structure.

The nose is shy at first but very complex, offering subtle layers of citrus, stone fruit, angelica, acacia blossom and allspice. Flavours of lemon, yellow apple and nectarine follow on an elegant, balanced palate, with delicate notes of greengage, papaya, yellow apple and passion fruit. Light to medium-bodied, with a smooth, fleshy texture and vibrant, integrated acidity. Lime peel, green apple and lemongrass linger on a clean, refreshing finish with notes of orange blossom, ginger and saffron.
