Castro Ventosa is the Pérez family's winery in Valtuille de Abajo, Bierzo, where their ancestors are documented as winegrowers in 1752. The family began bottling in 1989 and in the early 1990s took the name of the nearby Roman site of Castro Ventosa; Raúl Pérez started making wine there in 1992–93.
