On the nose it's extremely clean and expressive, with aromas of black and red fruit — such as cherry and blackberry — alongside subtle notes of aromatic herbs and a delicate mineral background recalling slate and chalk.

On the palate it shows excellent balance between structure and freshness. Though full-bodied, it keeps remarkable elegance, with well-integrated tannins and a smooth, enveloping, almost unctuous texture.

The finish is long and persistent, clearly reflecting the identity of the Samaniego terroir it comes from.

The high score is also linked to the 2023 harvest conditions, which favoured fresher, more elegant wines than the previous year. This particularly benefited the old vines (over 60 years) of Finca La Canoca, at more than 600 metres.

Often compared with the same winery's “Vino de Garage”, this wine stands apart with a profile centred more on finesse and mineral freshness than on power alone.
