The nose of the 2023 Terreus Cima de Cueva Baja shows a marked presence of black olive and an earthy character, with ripe berry fruit, spice and aromatic herbs. It's a very attractive, expressive wine. The vines are at 800 metres and yield about 3,000 kg per hectare.

The destemmed, chilled grapes go by gravity into vats, where they ferment with indigenous yeasts. The wine aged for 20 months in French oak barrels. It has a decadent profile and develops quickly in the glass. It has 14.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.6.

The tannins are abundant and chalky in texture, while the flavours from oak ageing suggest the wine will benefit from some time in bottle before opening. It was bottled in August 2025.

The estate received Demeter certification in 2025, formally recognising the biodynamic farming used since 2015. According to the winery, biodynamics has improved soil health, structure and biodiversity, eliminating synthetic agrochemicals and giving stronger, more resilient vines and wines with a more distinct sense of place.

The García family owns 90 hectares of vines, with an average age of 35 years, in Tudela de Duero and Traspinedo. Annual production is about 350,000 bottles.

The 2023 harvest was hot and early, after a rainy winter, giving wines of elegance, aromatic expression and ripe fruit, with fine tannins and freshness preserved by timely September rains.

In Bierzo, where the grapes for their Godello white come from, the growing season was cool and wet, with gradual ripening, resulting in complex, vibrant whites marked by tension and freshness. Strict yield control and favourable summer weather gave concentrated, healthy fruit, picked at the end of August.

The 2024 harvest was low-yielding and age-worthy, marked by spring frosts and meticulous vineyard work. It gave fruit of extraordinary health, balanced ripeness and great aromatic depth, and concentrated yet harmonious wines.
