Wine profile
Body
This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «full».
How heavy and full the wine feels in your mouth — from light like skimmed milk to rich like cream. It comes mainly from alcohol, extract and, in sweet wines, sugar.
Wine profile
Tannin
This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «firm».
Tannins come from grape skins, seeds and oak. You feel them as a pleasant drying grip on gums and tongue — from silky and velvety to firm and chewy.
Wine profile
Acidity
This wine: 3 out of 5 — right in the middle.
The freshness that makes your mouth water, like a squeeze of lemon. It gives a wine tension, length and ageing potential, and makes it great with food.
Wine profile
Alcohol
This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «high» (14% vol.).
Alcohol brings warmth and body. Still wines usually sit between about 11% and 15% ABV, while fortified wines such as Port sit around 19–20%.
Wine profile
Sweetness
This wine: 1 out of 5 — closer to «dry».
The residual sugar you can taste. EU label guide for still wines: dry up to ~4 g/L, medium-dry up to ~12 g/L, medium-sweet up to ~45 g/L, sweet above that.

Description
Conceito Único Tinto is a premium Douro wine made by Conceito Wines under winemaker Rita Marques. It's widely recognised for challenging the classic Douro red profile, offering elegance and lightness unusual for the region.
The Wine AdvocateRP 95Reviewed by: Mark Squires
The 2019 Único Tinto, which isn't made every year, is a field blend (Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Barroca, Alicante Bouschet, Rufete and others) from a single plot of Conceito's typical vineyard (vines over 90 years old, at 450 metres). It aged for 22 months in French oak, 30% new. It has 14.1% alcohol.
Like its “siblings”, it tends to be restrained, favouring structure, precision and freshness over exuberant fruit. You can tell which 2019 Conceito red you're tasting by its intensity. This is the one that dries the palate most and takes longest to recover. It's quite intense but not overly astringent, which makes me confident it will evolve well and gain harmony.
It will need a few years in bottle to show its best, so be patient.
