Description
Susana Esteban Procura na Ânfora Branco 2023 is a DOC Alentejo wine that stands out for its vibrant freshness and mineral profile. It is made from very old vines (around 85 years old) at 700 metres in the Serra de São Mamede.

The 2023 Procura na Ânfora comes from an old vineyard of unknown age (the land registry started late, around the 1950s), perhaps around 85 years old. This wine was first made in 2017 in amphorae, after Susana's experience with Filipa Pato on the 2015 Sidecar. The grapes were pressed, and the must settled and fermented in the amphorae with indigenous yeasts, where it also matured for eight months.
It is pale in colour and youthful, with typically Alentejo aromas of dried herbs and flowers and slightly medicinal, balsamic touches. It has a moderate 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.22, 5.8 grams of acidity and a bone-dry finish. A vibrant, clean and tasty wine.
