Description
Kompassus Colheita Tinto 2022 is an authentic, traditional red made in Portugal's charismatic Bairrada region. This project, led by producer João Póvoa, stands out for the winemaking signature of Anselmo Mendes and Magda Costa.
Tasting Note
Expressive and elegant, this Bairrada red shows a very appealing mix of red fruit and wild berries on the nose, with raspberry and cherry to the fore. Subtle nuances of damp earth and dried herbs add depth and character.
On the palate it's fresh, balanced and medium-bodied, with the vibrant acidity so typical of Bairrada's terroir. The tannins are fine, silky and well integrated, giving an elegant texture. It finishes dry, firm and persistent, leaving a sense of freshness and balance.
