Description
Quinta do Cume Reserva Branco 2023 is an excellent white from the Douro Demarcated Region, crafted by winemaker Jean-Hugues Gros. It stands out for moving away from the heavier profile of some Douro whites, focusing on elegance, liveliness and a markedly limited production.
Tasting Note – Quinta do Cume Reserva Branco 2023
Colour & aromaPale yellow, bright and clear, Quinta do Cume Reserva Branco 2023 shows an elegant, sophisticated aromatic profile. On the nose, mineral notes and a subtle smoky touch from carefully integrated oak stand out, wrapped in fresh aromas of citrus, pear and green apple.
PalateOn the palate it has a vibrant, fresh entry, supported by precise acidity that gives great tension and balance. Good volume and excellent fruit concentration blend perfectly with the oak, ending in a long, pure and persistent finish.
Elegant, structured and very food-friendly, this white pairs superbly with roast oily fish, elaborate seafood dishes, oysters, white meat and aged cheeses. Best served at 10–12 °C to enjoy all its complexity and freshness.
