Description
Secret Spot Tinto 2019 is a top Douro red made by Secret Spot Wines (a project of winemakers Gonçalo Sousa Lopes and Rui Cunha), known for its enigmatic character, excellent structure and huge ageing potential.
ColourA deep, intense ruby, this wine shows great concentration and character from the start.
AromaOn the nose it has a complex, enveloping aromatic expression dominated by black fruit, especially fresh plum and dark berries, with notes of spice and subtle mineral nuances.
PalateOn the palate it's broad, silky and dense, supported by balanced acidity and firm but perfectly polished tannins. Its structure combines power and elegance, leading to a finish of enormous length and persistence.
A wine of extraordinary ageing capacity, with the potential to develop in bottle until at least 2041, gaining complexity and depth over time. Given its scale and character, it's a true wine for contemplation, to be enjoyed with time and attention.
