Natus Red 2022

Natus Tinto 2022 is an authentic expression of the Vidigueira terroir, born from unrigged vineyards in schist soils, at the southern foot of the Serra do Mendro. Produced from the traditional Trincadeira and Castelão grape varieties, this wine reflects the ancestral art of amphora wine, with foot treading and spontaneous fermentation in 19th century clay amphorae, followed by a 12-month aging in century-old Portuguese oak and chestnut barrels.

In the glass, it reveals an open colour and a striking delicacy in the red fruit, complemented by notes of bush, dried grass and damp clay. Its structure is surprisingly light, but without losing depth, standing out for its complexity, balanced acidity and elegance. The finish is long, evoking forest and spices, confirming the unique character of this wine.
