Carmelo Rodero Reserva is a red wine with DO Ribera del Duero produced by Bodegas Rodero. The winery is located in Pedrosa del Duero (Burgos).

Carmelo Rodero Reserva is made with the following varieties: Tinta del País (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). The grapes come from old vines over 30 years old that belong to the 80 hectares that the winery has distributed among Pedrosa de Duero, Boada de Roa, Roa and Mambrilla de Castrejón.

Carmelo Rodero Reserva is made traditionally. Both maceration and alcoholic fermentation are carried out at controlled temperatures.

Aging, in turn, lasts 21 months in French oak barrels. Finally, it remains in the bottle for another 24 months to finish the rounding.

It is a great wine, very balanced and suggestive, with an intense cherry red color and soft violet notes, which mark its aging with shiny tiles and amber edges.

A very subtle nose with aromas of ripe fruits that combine very well with ageing in wood, which brings to mind special aromas (vanilla, cinnamon) and the stimulating aroma of coffee or toast.

Very fleshy in the mouth, with a long finish and balanced acidity. Ripe and soft harmonious tannins that fill the palate with pleasant sensations.
