Properties of Attis Mar underwater wine A wine with the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin produced by Attis Bodega y Viñedos, which stands out for its underwater storage at a depth of 12 meters for 6 months.
This is a fully Atlantic and indigenous Albariño, sourced from vineyards over 50 years old in the Salnés Embrado Valley. These vineyards grow in clay soil and face the Atlantic Ocean, giving the grapes unique properties that will be reflected in the Attis Mar wine.
Production and aging of Attis Mar Tradition and craftsmanship mark the entire production process at Attis Mar, beginning with the manual harvesting of Albariño grapes.
The alcoholic fermentation of the juice is carried out using the yeasts from the grape skins themselves, which is known as spontaneous fermentation.
Attis Mar ages for six months in oak and fudre tanks, during which time the wine rests on the fine lees suspended within the barrel. This technique is known in the winemaking world as "batonnage." After this time, the bottled wine ages underwater for another six months under the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Tasting notes highlighting the Attis Mar underwater wine. The combination of these processes results in Attis Mar, a unique underwater wine distinguished by its intense straw-yellow color. On the palate, a distinct acidity stands out, perfectly complementing the finesse and freshness of the juice, which derives from its aging on the seabed. It also stands out for its saline note and excellent aging potential.
