Description
Ornellaia is the grand vin of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia in Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast, and one of the most sought-after Super Tuscans. It is classified as Bolgheri DOC Superiore.
The 2022 blends 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, with around 18 months in barrique. It shows black fruit, hints of vanilla and tobacco, a powerful tannic structure and a long, savoury finish.
Ideal with grilled red meat, lamb or game. Serve at 18–20 °C and decant an hour ahead.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
