Description
Case Basse, founded by Gianfranco Soldera in Montalcino, makes one of the world's rarest and most sought-after Sangioveses, in very small quantities. Today the wine is released as Toscana IGT.
It is 100% Sangiovese from vineyards farmed with great respect for natural balance, fermented spontaneously and aged at length in large oak casks. The 2020 shows cherry, flowers, earthy and spicy notes, with a silky texture and an acidity that lets it develop for many years.
Pair with roast meat, game birds and aged cheese. Serve at 16–18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
