Description
Almanua Branco 2025 marks the debut of Manuel and Luís Cerdeira in a joint wine venture under their own names, reflecting a contemporary, bold approach. From grapes grown in Famalicão, this wine clearly expresses the region's characteristic Atlantic influence.
In the winemaking, a key feature is the balanced use of stainless steel and wood, with barrels specially made for Vinevinu, combining French oak and Portuguese chestnut. This technical detail was designed to add structure to the wine without dominant oak aromas, preserving the purity of the fruit.
In the glass, Almanua Branco 2025 shows the attributes of its unique make-up:
Alvarinho brings floral and citrus notes, with marked minerality.
Maria Gomes (the name the producer prefers to Fernão Pires) contributes its characteristic structure.
Arinto adds vibrant freshness and an acidity that supports the wine superbly.
The result is a very harmonious white, with lovely acidity and tension, perfect alongside food. This wine not only shows the producer duo's vision but also serves as a true calling card for restaurants.
Final note: A wine that reflects balance, identity and the potential of Portuguese grapes from a modern, distinctive perspective.
