Description
The 2025 edition is the fifth and final release in Clase Azul's annual limited "Nuestros Recuerdos" (Our Memories) series, which explores the most refined facets of Día de Muertos. The release is highly exclusive and one of the brand's most sought-after.
The limited edition Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos 2025 "Recuerdos" is an añejo tequila with a complex flavour profile, including notes of orange, clove and cinnamon, presented in a handcrafted 1-litre ceramic bottle with 24-carat gold details.
The flavour and aroma profile of this añejo tequila is complex, reflecting its ageing process:
Ageing: A blend of tequilas aged for 12 to 38 months in first-fill whiskey barrels. At least part of the agave was cooked in a traditional pit oven, a method more common for mezcal, giving subtle smoky notes.
AromaNose: Notes of cooked agave, smoked wood and caramel.
Palate: Orange marmalade, clove and cinnamon.
FinishFinish: A citrus and toasted-wood finish.
The handcrafted ceramic bottle is central to the limited edition, paying tribute to the intimate act of remembering loved ones:
Design: The ivory bottle features an illustration by Mexican artist Erika Rivera depicting an "ofrenda" (traditional Day of the Dead altar).
Details: It is adorned with a medallion-shaped ornament of brass covered in 24-carat gold, which opens to reveal an obsidian cameo.
Exclusivity: Only 10,000 of these bottles were released worldwide.
