Domain of Pidio

Dominio del Pidio 2019 is made from Tempranillo (10% whole bunch) and around 10% white Albillo Mayor. It's like a trip to the past, with ripe berries and herbs and not so much oak. To produce this wine, 5 cellars from the 16th century were recovered and restored, with the aim of creating and aging the wines with the philosophy, tradition and wisdom of the region's winegrowers. Aging was done in 225 and 600 liter oak barrels and lasted 16 months. Dominio del Pidio is a city wine project (even named as such on the back label) that is based on 10 hectares of old vineyards located in Quintana del Pidio.
