Description

It isn't easy to make good still Pinot Noir in southern Europe, but with sparkling wines it's a completely different story. With the right Pinot clone and in a cooler area (whether near the sea or at altitude), the French grape rarely fails, bringing refinement and complexity to sparkling base wines. Campolargo, in Bairrada, has long worked with this variety, with excellent results With a lovely brick-tinged colour, it has a very elegant nose, with toasty hints of biscuit and nuts, showing great complexity for a still relatively young wine. On the palate it shows great lightness and freshness, with very firm, vibrant acidity, making it particularly suited to accompany a meal.
