Description
Herdade do Moinho Branco Alicante Bouschet is a top Alentejo red made by Ribafreixo Wines, known for its broad, dense and silky profile, with notes of wild berries and spice.
Colour & aromaIt has an intense, deep, almost opaque colour, typical of Alicante Bouschet. On the nose, elegant aromas of ripe black fruit such as plum and blackberry stand out, harmoniously wrapped in spicy notes of black pepper and clove, with subtle hints of sandalwood that add complexity and distinction.
PalateOn the palate it's a structured, firm wine of great presence, with robust but well-integrated tannins, giving a silky, enveloping texture. The black fruit gains expression on the palate, ending in a long, persistent finish marked by juicy fruit and a light spicy touch that prolongs the pleasure.
Suggested pairing:
- Oven-roasted kid with golden potatoes
- Pork cheeks braised in red wine
- Seared tuna with sweet-potato purée and red wine sauce
- Roast aubergine with spices and aged cheese
A wine of character and elegance, ideal for rich, aromatic dishes with enveloping textures.
