Description
Kompassus Colheita Cercial 2025 is a white made by the respected Kompassus Boutique Winery in the iconic Bairrada region, under producer João Póvoa. This wine stands out for being made from single-varietal Cercial (also spelt Cerceal Branco), a grape known for bringing vibrant acidity, freshness and strong food-friendliness to the region's wines.
As a recent release, the 2025 vintage hasn't yet built up many public ratings. However, the Cercial-based wines in this range follow a classic house style, traditionally showing pronounced mineral and citrus notes, often benefiting from partial ageing in French oak barrels to add structure without losing the grape's natural freshness.
Kompassus Cercial Colheita 2025 shows a profile shaped by the grape's identity and Bairrada's Atlantic character. On the nose it stands out for its mineral expression and vibrant citrus notes, with a subtle complexity adding depth.
PalateOn the palate it has very high, firm and refreshing acidity, giving great tension and food-friendliness. The structure is solid and balanced, keeping an excellent sense of freshness and precision. The mineral component lingers in a persistent, elegant and very lively finish.
A dry, fresh and structured white, with excellent potential to develop in bottle thanks to its firm acidity and structure, and particularly versatile at the table.
