Description
MOB Jaen 2022 is a robust, ripe, structured red from the prestigious Dão DOC, at the foot of the Serra da Estrela. It's signed by the renowned partnership of three leading Portuguese winemakers: Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges (Moreira, Olazabal & Borges).
Deep, concentrated, almost opaque, showing its intensity from the start. The nose is frank and ripe, with notes of juicy black fruit, plum and cherry, plus a subtle touch of spice and discreet oak from 12 months in used oak barrels.
PalateOn the palate it stands out for its gourmand, enveloping texture, full and complex. The tannins are firm but well polished, giving structure without compromising elegance. Discreet acidity balances the wine's generous profile, where sweet, ripe fruit takes centre stage. The finish is long, with a muscular presence that sets it apart from the other MOB wines, showing Jaen in a more intense, voluminous expression, yet still true to the Seia terroir.
A wine with character, ready to enjoy now but with potential to develop in bottle.
