Description
Quinta do Couquinho Unius Reserva Tinto 2020 is a red wine of excellent structure and great complexity, made in the prestigious Douro Superior (Horta da Vilariça). A critically acclaimed flagship, it stands out for its generous profile, alcohol of 15% vol. and exceptional bottle-ageing potential.
Quinta do Couquinho Unius Reserva 2020 shows a deep, intense colour, foreshadowing its aromatic complexity. On the nose come enveloping spicy notes, with plenty of ripe cherry and sloe, complemented by wild nuances of rockrose, lavender and rosemary. Black pepper adds an exotic, vibrant touch, deepening the bouquet.
PalateOn the palate it's full-bodied and structured, with firm, elegant tannins supporting the sense of sweet, ripe fruit. The texture is dense and velvety, giving a rich, enveloping palate. The finish is long and persistent, marked by a pleasant minty freshness that balances its opulence.
With excellent structure and balance, this wine can already be enjoyed, but promises remarkable development in bottle, benefiting from time to show its full potential.
