Description
Soalheiro Nature is our first Alvarinho made with no added sulphites. The grapes, grown organically, reflect the purest expression of the variety and push the limits of its winemaking, aiming to create the most intense and honest expression of this wine. It genuinely reflects the “Pur Terroir” of Monção and Melgaço – Portugal's northernmost point and also the birthplace of Alvarinho. Keeping Alvarinho's aromatic profile without added sulphites has been one of our most challenging innovations. After three years of experimentation it was refined and is, partly for that reason, our choice as the base wine for Soalheiro Espumante Bruto Nature. Nature can be served in two ways. One: decant the wine to separate it from the fine lees, then pour it into the glass; the other: gently shake the bottle to mix the fine lees into the wine, then pour it into the glass. Either way of serving Nature will give you a unique tasting experience of our Alvarinho in its purest expression.
Soalheiro Nature is a wine best enjoyed with food. Its round body and unique flavour make it the perfect wine for hot dishes. We recommend oily fish, lamb, duck, roast chicken and also dishes with cream or mushroom sauces, such as a delicious risotto. It's a perfect match for aged cheese.
