Description
Trufa Garrafeira, born of an exceptional vintage and careful winemaking, embodies the essence of a singular vineyard and special terroir. Its complexity and harmony show intense concentration with balsamic oak ‘nuances’ and rich black-fruit notes. After 18 months in French oak barrels, it matures for 50 months in bottle, giving a full-bodied wine with an elegant, fresh finish.
Trufa Tinto Garrafeira Magnum 2017 is a wine of great depth, complexity and harmony, from an old-vine field blend that gives it a singular identity and a particularly rich aromatic palette.
AromaOn the nose it's deep and enveloping, with the complexity typical of old vines: blackberry, cherry and mint appear at once, giving way to subtle hints of rockrose and violet, ‘nuances’ of raspberry, aromatic herbs and a delicate hint of spice. Elegant balsamic notes from the oak integrate with remarkable balance, adding dimension without masking the purity of the fruit.
On the palate it has a solid, well-defined structure, with firm, finely grained tannins giving a serious, concentrated character. There's a captivating duality between an almost rustic side and a silky texture, always supported by intrinsic freshness that makes it vibrant and enveloping. Elegant, deep and persistent, ending long, serious and harmonious.
A wine that authentically expresses the singularity of its vineyard, showing all the potential and longevity of great vintages.
