Description
Espumante Filipa Pato 3B Rosé (made by Filipa Pato & William Wouters in Bairrada, Portugal) is one of Portugal's most acclaimed and sought-after sparkling wines for its excellent value for money. The name "3B" comes from its origins and make-up: the red Baga grape, the white Bical grape and the strongly Atlantic-influenced Bairrada region.
Tasting Note
Delicate salmon-pink, it has an elegant presentation, with fine, persistent, well-integrated bubbles.
AromaOn the nose it stands out for its freshness and mineral expression, with aromas of fresh red fruit, especially strawberry and raspberry, alongside subtle pomegranate notes. Time on the lees adds pleasant nuances of fresh bread, brioche and pastry.
PalateOn the palate it's dry, vibrant and precise, with refreshing acidity and well-defined minerality. The red fruit stays present, balanced by bakery notes that add complexity and depth.
A Brut Nature / Extra Bruto style sparkling wine made by the traditional method, with second fermentation in bottle and no added dosage sugar, favouring purity, freshness and the expression of the wine.
