Description
Monólogo Chardonnay Branco 2024 is a single-varietal (100% Chardonnay) Vinho Verde with a contemporary, fresh profile, made by A&D Wines. The "Monólogo" range focuses on conveying the individual, pure expression of a single grape from a specific vineyard plot.
The grapes come from Quinta dos Espinhosos (plot P706), in the Baião sub-region (Vinho Verde / Regional Minho), an estate farmed sustainably and organically.
Pale, crystalline straw-yellow, it has an elegant, complex aromatic profile combining delicate vegetal notes, especially white asparagus, with hints of tropical and stone fruit such as custard apple and pear. There are also citrus and floral nuances and a marked mineral component.
On the palate it's broad, round and voluminous, supported by vibrant, crisp acidity reflecting the altitude of the vines. The fruit returns to the fore, with notes of guava paste and physalis. It finishes long, fresh and persistent, with a subtle saline touch that reinforces its identity and balance.
