Description

Vinha Paz Reserva Encruzado 2022 is a top-end white from Portugal's Dão demarcated region. Made exclusively from the noble Encruzado grape, it comes from vines up to 40 years old on granite soils around Silgueiros, Viseu.

Encruzado shows its full expression in this distinctive Dão wine. Made at Quinta da Vinha Paz, with granite soils and cool nights that give great freshness and minerality. Partly aged in French oak barrels with long, gentle bâtonnage. A very elegant, refined nose with notes of lime blossom and orange blossom, married with white-fleshed fruit and quince, a light tropical touch and nuances of vanilla. On the palate the structure is well drawn, with a refined balance of fresh acidity and elegant minerality. The finish is long and persistent. Serve at 12°C with fish dishes or in good company.
