Description
Dönnhoff Riesling Auslese Oberhäuser Brücke Monopol 2018 is an acclaimed dessert wine, known for its luxurious sweetness and vibrant acidity.
Picked on the same day as the GG and Spätlese on 8 November, but with finely shrivelled botrytis berries, the 2018 Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Auslese offers a clear, finely citrusy bouquet with very fine botrytis tones, although botrytis was less widespread here than in the Felsenberg. On the palate it's a rich, intense Auslese, yet very precise and filigree, refined and pure, with an enormously saline, lively, long and energetic finish showing piquant acidity.
Aromas: Intense notes of ripe tropical fruit such as mango and passion fruit, combined with touches of honey, white flowers, apricot, orange, peach, plum and spice, with distinct slate minerality.
Palate: Rich, intense and creamy, yet remarkably precise and filigree, with piquant acidity and a saline, long and energetic finish that perfectly balances the sweetness.
