This Barolo DOCG Albe opens with a bright and expressive nose. With red currant tones, cherries, macerated strawberries, in the mouth it is generous and young, with ripe tannins and a classic finish in cherry tones.
Albe is a blend of high altitude Barolo vineyards. As they are located on several slopes and have different exposures, you have the opportunity to see three sunrises (Albe) every day. Radiant 2017 harvest, with a beautiful early balance and yet with great potential for improvement over time. A tribute to the masters of tradition. Albe is a mix of wonderful Nebbiolo vineyards with exposures running from south-southeast to south-west, at a high altitude of between 380 and 480 m above sea level. The 2017 Barolos are deep and characterized by a core of red fruit, acidic backbone and organic tannins that fix the wines in the long term. A family of passionate winegrowers, the Vajra family are advocates of a 'productive poetry' driven by a defense of land values and an obsessive attention to detail. The property, which covers 40 ha, is located west of the municipality of Barolo, in the town of Vergne, at around 400 m altitude, where the nebbiolo, dolcetto and barbera grape varieties ripen later than in the rest of this area of Piedmont. .
