Terra do Zambujeiro Red 2020
Terra do Zambujeiro Red 2020 - 2020 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Terra do Zambujeiro 2020 presents itself as a wine of great grandeur, expressing the identity of Alentejo with a blend of Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot , matured for 24 months in 30% new French oak .
On the nose, it reveals a remarkable aromatic intensity, with notes of ripe black fruits , such as plum and cassis , enveloped by nuances of dark chocolate, sweet spices and a balsamic touch . The presence of oak adds elegance, without overpowering the purity of the fruit.
The greatness of this wine is confirmed in the mouth. Structured and full-bodied, it displays a silky texture, supported by firm but well-integrated tannins . The balanced acidity maintains the freshness and gives it depth, while the flavors of blackberry, licorice, tobacco and a light toasted touch linger on the long and persistent finish.
Despite its power, the wine maintains an impressive balance , with the necessary structure to evolve favorably in the bottle . To enjoy it at its peak, the ideal is to wait until 2025–2027 , although it already shows promising character now, as long as it is decanted for at least an hour.
