A red from Douro less intense in colour and with a more moderate alcohol content than the traditional reds from this region. With an excellent balance between acidity, alcohol content and tannins. A unique wine made from old vines, with around 20 native Portuguese varieties including Alvarelhão, Rufete, Tinta Carvalha, Tinta da Barca, Tinta Francisca, Alicante Bouschet and others not identified.

Grandes Escolhas: The name is appropriate, as it does indeed deviate from the “conventional” Douro style, both in terms of grape varieties (Tinta Carvalha, Tinta da Barca, Rufete, Cornifesto, Tinta Francisca and many others) and in terms of the deep and complex aroma, light and firm at the same time, with earthy notes and lots of spices, an unusual freshness on the palate, vibrant, full of character and elegance.
