Description
Dominio de Calogía Cuvée S 2021 is one of Spain's most prestigious reds, named Best Wine of Spain by the SeVi Guide 2025 with 99 points. It's José Manuel Pérez Ovejas's top creation in Ribera del Duero.
Extremely limited, Cuvée S 2021 comes from a small plot of just 1.5 hectares of very old vines, worked with naturally low yields and reserved only for truly exceptional vintages.
In the glass it's a deep, intense ruby. The nose shows great complexity and elegance, combining ripe red fruit with mineral notes of graphite and charcoal, enriched by subtle nuances of nuts.
PalateOn the palate it's structured, round and silky, with splendid acidity giving freshness and balance. The tannins are noble, fine and delicately integrated, supporting a harmonious, precise whole.
Extended ageing of 26 months in Allier French oak barrels adds depth and sophistication, contributing to its remarkable ageing capacity and a long, elegant, very persistent finish.
Dominio de Calogía Cuvée S 2021 is currently one of the wines most acclaimed by critics, with distinctions placing it at the top of the Spanish wine hierarchy.
