Description
G.D. Vajra Langhe DOC Rosso 2024 is a vibrant, food-friendly red made in Italy's prestigious Piedmont region. It's known as a "mosaic" of local grapes, offering an elegant, accessible introduction to the Vajra house style.
Tasting Note – G.D. Vajra Langhe DOC Rosso 2024
An elegant, vibrant wine, the result of a complex cuvée led by Nebbiolo (54%) and Dolcetto (31%), enriched by Barbera, Freisa, Albarossa and small parcels of rare grapes such as Slarina and Chatus.
AromaOn the nose it shows a pure, captivating expression of fresh red fruit — cherry, strawberry and blueberry — intertwined with delicate floral notes and a subtle balsamic touch evoking pine needles.
PalateOn the palate it stands out for its remarkable precision and freshness, with fine but firm tannins structuring the whole without weighing it down. Lively acidity brings energy and balance, carrying the tasting to a long, refreshing finish marked by elegant hints of menthol.
The short ageing, mostly in stainless steel with a small portion in large oak casks, preserves the aromatic purity and authenticity of the fruit, giving a versatile, modern red deeply tied to its terroir.
