Description
This 100% Chardonnay cuvée is a snapshot of the limestone terroir it comes from. Champagne's emblematic white grape is perfectly mastered and handled with precision, giving a balanced, lively sparkling wine of unprecedented finesse.
Jacques Lassaigne Réserve Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs is an organic Champagne that Jacques Lassaigne makes from chardonnay in the wine region of A.O.C. Champagne (France).
Jacques Lassaigne is a small great house located on the so-called “Montrachet of Champagne”. A hill that isn't especially high but has exceptional geology for making spectacular wines. A privileged place whose craftsman, Emmanuel Lassaigne, works with great care and respect to achieve the fullest expression of the terroir.
Jacques Lassaigne Réserve Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs comes from a small vineyard in Montgueux with vines over 40 years old on limestone soils. No pesticides, fertilisers or synthetic products are used. Instead, organic and natural treatments are used. Once the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they're picked by hand.
The grapes for Jacques Lassaigne Réserve Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs are gently pressed in the winery and the must is partly vinified in barrel. Once bottled, it rests sur latte for 1 to 5 years. Finally, disgorgement is by hand with no added sulphur.
Jacques Lassaigne Réserve Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs is a benchmark among the great sparkling wines made in Montgueux. A delicate, deliciously mineral Champagne.
