Description

After seven vintages as winemaker at Real Companhia Velha, Jorge Moreira felt the need to start a project of his own, where he could apply his ideas and control the whole production process. No compromises: a wine reflecting his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001 he started the Poeira project in Provesende, on a slope in the Pinhão valley, on the right bank of the river of the same name.

Old vines with mixed varieties and Touriga Nacional. Touriga's fruity, floral elegance and subtlety blend here with earthy notes, heather, aromatic herbs and blueberries, with brilliant complexity and finesse. The tannins are perfect, beautifully polished, and the fresh acidity runs through the wine from start to finish, leaving a trail of precision, elegance and class.
