Description
Quinta de Chocapalha Castelão 2022 is a red from the Lisboa region (Alenquer), made by the prestigious winemaker Sandra Tavares da Silva. Made from 100% Castelão grapes from a vineyard planted in 1989, it stands out for its excellent signature freshness and very food-friendly profile.
The destemmed grapes underwent a 12-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, not exceeding 26 °C, for 10 days. 50% of the wine aged for 14 months in second- and third-use French oak barrels.
ColourIntense red colour. A very fruity, very elegant wine, with round, velvety tannins and a long, fresh finish.
