Description
Quinta de Saes Tinto 2022 is a Dão wine made by the respected Quinta da Pellada under winemaker Álvaro Castro. It's known for its elegant, fresh profile, typical of the region's high-altitude wines.
The Wine AdvocateRP 91Reviewed by: Luis Gutiérrez
The 2022 Quinta de Saes Tinto was made from a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 40% Alfrocheiro and 20% Jaen — no Tinta Roriz this year — and was bottled after 18 months in neutral 225-litre oak barrels. It shows notes of ripe red fruit, aromatic herbs and a spicy touch. It has 13.2% alcohol and a dry finish. It's medium-bodied, with a delicate texture, soft flavours and round tannins. It was bottled in November 2024.
