Description
From old, north-facing vines in Valença do Douro. An impressive, very complex nose with plenty of earthy notes, intense yet delicate at the same time. The fruit is of huge quality, with spice and pink pepper, and you can feel the age of the vineyard. Full of brilliance and elegance — beautiful.

The 2020 Trufa Vinha do Olival was made from the old-vine field blend and has a dusty character typical of the Douro, powerful and rustic, similar to wines made in Priorat at the turn of the century, with abundant notes of wet slate and graphite, earthy, with ripe black fruit, 14.5% alcohol, intense flavours and abundant, slightly dusty tannins. It's a powerful Douro wine. 3,370 bottles were produced. It was bottled in October 2022.
