Description

Raventós i Blanc Blanc de Blancs is a prestigious Extra Brut sparkling wine from Catalonia, Spain, focused on the fullest expression of the Vinya del Llac terroir. Although it shares the tradition and grapes of the Cava region, Raventós i Blanc chose to leave that appellation and create its own strict geographical designation: Conca del Riu Anoia.

The 2021 Blanc de Blancs has a classic Mediterranean sparkling-wine nose, with notes of aromatic herbs, dry hay and straw, reflecting the third year of extremely dry conditions in the region, which gave a small harvest picked earlier than ever and more concentrated wines.

It's 50% Xarel.lo, 35% Macabeu, 10% Parellada and 5% Malvasía de Sitges. It didn't go through malolactic fermentation and had its second fermentation and ageing in bottle on the lees for 18 months.

They have access to excellent grapes (all organic) for this wine. The palate is vibrant, with abundant fine bubbles and a touch of freshness; it's balanced, clean and easy to drink.

Production of 200,000 bottles. All bottles carry the disgorgement date as the lot number.
