Description
Terra do Zambujeiro Tinto 2021 is a wine with a rich bouquet and notes of wild berries, violets and spice, with solid structure, fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. A classic, intense and fruity wine, suited to meat, pasta or enjoying on its own, and best served at 15-17ºC.
The Wine AdvocateRP 92Reviewed by: Luis Gutiérrez
The 2021 Terra do Zambujeiro red was made from a blend of 47% Alicante Bouschet, 13% Aragonez, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Touriga Nacional, 9% Syrah, 6% Touriga Franca and 3% Petit Verdot. It shows high ripeness (15% alcohol) and was generously aged in wood for two years in barrels, 40% of them new, giving a big, striking international style. It's very well done and surprisingly balanced within that style, with a full-bodied, juicy palate and abundant tannins. A big, bold Alentejo red of international profile, made as it should be.
