Description
Vincent Fils Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée 2023 is a white Burgundy Chardonnay, known for being dry and complex, with notes of citrus fruit, white peach and a saline touch.
Depending on the vintage's acid/alcohol balance and the judgement of our winemaker Antoine VINCENT, we carry out full or partial malolactic fermentation. Each of our plots is vinified separately and blended progressively after racking and regular tasting. The wines are fined with bentonite (a natural clay) if needed, followed by a light filtration. The final Tête de Cuvée then rests for a long period in large temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks until bottling. The marriage and harmony of the different origins begins in tank and is completed after three to four months in bottle.
Colour & aromaColour: Pale, light yellow with hints of green; attractive and clear. Nose: crisp and ripe, citrus, apples and lemon, almonds and smoky hazelnuts. Hints of minerality and good freshness. Mouthfeel: Fresh and forward, with good richness through the mid-palate, very classic in its definition. Plenty of ripe fruit, almonds, some delicate oak and a light smokiness. Harmony: A complete wine, pleasantly mineral and round. Good intensity, fresh, with lovely volume.
