Description
G.D. Vajra Barbera d'Alba DOC 2025 is a vibrant red from Piedmont, Italy, known for its purity of fruit and characteristic freshness. Although the 2025 vintage is still in the future in terms of harvest and full maturity, G.D. Vajra's wines in this line are consistently praised for their balance between elegance and energy.
G.D. Vajra Barbera d'Alba DOC 2025 is a young, vibrant and expressive wine, reflecting the primary character of Barbera, handled with precision by the producer.
In the glass it shows a deep, bright ruby colour with intense violet glints at the rim, a clear sign of its youth and lively acidity.
AromaOn the nose it's very perfumed and clean, with aromas of fresh black and red fruit such as blackberry, black cherry and raspberry. Delicate floral notes of violets also appear, with a subtle mineral nuance evoking graphite, adding complexity.
PalateOn the palate the attack is juicy and enveloping. Acidity takes the lead, typical of the grape, but is well integrated into a medium-bodied structure. The tannins are discreet, almost imperceptible, making for a flowing, elegant tasting. Flavours of fresh plum stand out, complemented by a light touch of sweet spice.
FinishThe finish is clean, persistent and refreshing, naturally inviting the next sip.
A clearly food-friendly wine, versatile at the table, ideal with pasta in tomato sauce, white meat or aged cheeses.
