Description
The wine Thibault Liger-Belair Bourgogne "Les Grands Chaillots" 2022 is a red Burgundy from France, made from Pinot Noir. It's a cuvée blended from grapes grown in plots in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny.
Neal Martin (vinous.com): He describes a slightly rustic nose of red bramble fruit, forest floor and light black-pudding aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, and the use of whole bunches gives a subtle black-pepper note on the delicate finish. He calls it "charming".
Andy Howard (JancisRobinson.com): He considers it a "useful" entry-level Bourgogne Rouge, with fresh red fruit, good purity and elegance. It's not heavy, but has "good energy" and "lots of Pinot".
Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy): He notes slight reduction on the nose that makes it "slightly stinky", but with "plenty of structure, acidity and tannin", plus lots of tasty red fruit behind. He predicts it will become a quality Bourgogne.
Allen Meadows (Burghound.com): He finds a ripe, fresh essence of red berries and earth on the nose, with vibrant flavours that are at once rustic and refreshing.
Gourmet Hunters: They mention a seductive, precise nose where ripe red fruit (raspberries, sour cherries and redcurrants) mixes with violet floral notes and subtle earthy touches. On the palate the texture is refined, with a perfect balance between vibrant freshness and silky tannins. The finish is long, mineral and saline.
