Description
Torre de Aguiã Vinhão 2025 is an acclaimed red from the Vinhos Verdes region (Lima sub-region), Portugal, made by grower Simão Pedro de Aguiã and designed by winemaker João Garrido. It's a single-varietal Vinhão, the Minho's most traditional red grape, known for its rustic, authentic, strong-willed profile.
Torre de Aguiã Vinhão 2025
Deep, extremely intense red, it shows the classic identity of the Vinhão grape, with a hue so deep it stains the glass. On the nose it shows a markedly vinous profile, complemented by expressive aromas of very ripe red-fruit compote, with blackberry and black plum to the fore.
On the palate it's full-bodied, generous and harmonious. Lively, food-friendly acidity, typical of the grape, brings freshness and balance, while present, well-integrated tannins reinforce structure and persistence. The finish is long, intense and very true to the traditional expression of the region's Vinhão.
