Wine profile
Body
This wine: 4 out of 5 — closer to «full».
How heavy and full the wine feels in your mouth — from light like skimmed milk to rich like cream. It comes mainly from alcohol, extract and, in sweet wines, sugar.
Wine profile
Acidity
This wine: 5 out of 5 — closer to «crisp».
The freshness that makes your mouth water, like a squeeze of lemon. It gives a wine tension, length and ageing potential, and makes it great with food.
Wine profile
Alcohol
This wine: 2 out of 5 — closer to «low» (12% vol.).
Alcohol brings warmth and body. Still wines usually sit between about 11% and 15% ABV, while fortified wines such as Port sit around 19–20%.
Wine profile

Reviewed by: Kristaps Karklins
Disgorged in June 2024 with a dosage of 3.9 grams per litre and based on the 2018 vintage, complemented by 37% reserve wines from 2017, 2016 and 2015, Billecart's NV Le Blanc de Blancs offers aromas of pear, lemon confit and freshly baked bread, interwoven with dried flowers. On the palate it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy yet vibrant, with a muscular core of fruit and lively acidity framed by a chalky touch. It's brighter than one might expect for the vintage, though undeniably less concentrated than the 2019 version. As usual, it's vinified in stainless steel and, for this bottling, it's based on Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, complemented by wines from Chouilly, Cramant and Avize.
