Description
Chocapalha Reserva Branco 2024 is a sophisticated white made by the prestigious Quinta de Chocapalha in Portugal's Lisboa wine region.
According to the producer's tasting notes, the wine stands out for its great intensity of colour, excellent balance, good acidity and marked minerality. It's very elegant and fresh, benefiting from the strong Atlantic influence on the region's climate, and finishes long and persistent.
With the creaminess from barrel ageing and Arinto's excellent acidity, Chocapalha Reserva Branco 2024 calls for dishes with some structure and natural richness:
Oven-baked oily fish: Dishes such as roast bacalhau with olive oil, salmon loin or oven-roasted sea bass benefit from the wine's vibrant acidity, which cuts through the richness of the dish.
Poultry and white meats: A good roast chicken with aromatic herbs, pork confit or rabbit dishes go perfectly with the body of this blend.
Risottos and creamy dishes: Mushroom or seafood risotto (with a little butter or Parmesan) complements the velvety texture achieved through bâtonnage.
Soft cheeses: It pairs very well with cured or soft cheeses of medium intensity (such as Azeitão or Évora cheese).
