Description
Quinta da Pacheca Reserva Vinhas Velhas is one of the most emblematic Douro reds, known for its structure and complexity. Both vintages mentioned keep the house's classic profile, from vines aged between 50 and 60 years.
Pacheca Reserva Vinhas Velhas 2023 comes from Quinta da Pacheca's oldest vines, planted in the 1950s, where different grapes grow mixed in the same plots. This field-blend tradition continues today, giving the wine its own complexity and identity.
Quinta da Pacheca Vinhas Velhas Reserva Tinto 2023 is a wine of great identity and classic character. From a field blend of old grapes and vinified in lagar, it shows an aromatic expression marked by earthy notes, well integrated with nuances of spice, black pepper and dried herbs. The fruit is more restrained and elegant, contributing to a sober, harmonious profile.
PalateOn the palate it stands out for its excellent texture and delicacy, with fine, well-polished tannins. Medium-bodied, it shows remarkable balance between depth and freshness, clearly reflecting the influence of the Baixo Corgo. The whole makes for an elegant wine, with a classic profile and long, refined persistence.
