Description
Vinha do Altar Reserva Branco 2025 is a hugely elegant high-altitude Douro wine made by the prestigious Wine & Soul.
The Wine AdvocateRP 91Reviewed by: Luis Gutiérrez
The Vinha do Altar Reserva Branco 2023 comes from a 12-year-old vineyard on the Fermentões plateau at 600 metres. The vineyard was planted with a mix of Gouveio, Viosinho and Arinto on schist soils which, in this cooler (or less hot…) year, produced a vibrant white with citrus and white-flower notes, a creamy touch and a velvety mouthfeel, rich without excess. It was bottled in May 2024, with 12.5% alcohol and balanced freshness and acidity. It was vinified and aged in stainless steel. Production of 4,300 bottles.
