Description

Laphroaig Lore was created as a tribute to two centuries of knowledge handed down through generations at the distillery. The master distiller combined whiskies of very different ages and casks, from first-fill bourbon to quarter casks and sherry butts, to create the richest and most complete Laphroaig in the core range.

Matured in bourbon casks, oloroso sherry casks, Pedro Ximénez casks and refill casks and bottled at 48%, it shows peat smoke, tar, pepper and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate is oily and full-bodied, with peat smoke, medicinal notes, honey and cocoa. The finish is very long, with embers, sea salt and spice.

For lovers of smoke, it is an essential bottle. Drink it neat or with a drop of water, which reveals the sweetness hidden behind the peat. It pairs with oysters, smoked salmon, grilled meats and blue cheese.
